I went into business professionally in 2016 while in college. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life; all I knew was that opportunity was out there, even if it had to be created. I had always been around construction.
My Great Grandfather was a pastor, and he built several churches in southeast Kentucky. My Grandfather ran a church furniture plant. I spent quite a bit of time there as a kid and was always interested in learning the carpentry trade. After searching for an internship in construction management, I decided my best course of action was to find my own way.
I took a few small projects initially and then took on a few larger roofing projects until I had a decent amount of experience and work going. I did most of it myself. In 2018 I was offered a project management position for another roofing contractor and decided it might be a good learning opportunity.
Through that position, I learned the ins and outs of residential roof replacement and the insurance process and took that knowledge to a commercial roofing firm. I found myself dissatisfied with the quality of work turned out by those other firms and some of their dealings with clients. I have since taken all that knowledge, and I now strive to help my clients’ homes and businesses look their best while providing the highest customer service and professionalism level.
